Most people arranging a booking in Athens for the first time do not have a preference between outcall and incall, because nobody has ever explained what separates them. They pick whichever word appeared first. That is a shame, because the choice changes what you pay, how long you wait and how much of the evening you control. This page sets the two formats side by side and gives you a way to decide in about a minute.

The difference, stated plainly
An outcall means the companion travels to wherever you already are. An incall means you travel to a location we hold. That single reversal of direction is the whole distinction, and every practical consequence flows from it.
Neither format is superior. They solve different problems. A guest at a hotel on Syngrou has nowhere to travel to and no reason to leave; an outcall solves that. A resident of Athens who lives with family has a venue problem an outcall cannot fix; an incall solves that instead.

1. Money
Outcall carries the cost of the journey. Someone has to cross the city, and beyond the central districts that appears on your quote as a travel supplement. Incall carries no such line because you are the one moving. If your budget is fixed and you want the longest possible booking for it, incall wins on arithmetic alone, and the gap widens the further out you are.
2. Waiting
Incall is usually quicker to start. There is no traffic between you and the booking except your own journey, which you control. An outcall cannot begin until a car has crossed Athens, and Athens traffic is unforgiving between six and nine on a weekday. If you want something to happen soon rather than eventually, incall shortens the wait.
3. Two different kinds of privacy
This is where people reason badly. Outcall privacy is about arrival: someone comes to your door, walks past your reception, uses your lift. Incall privacy is about departure: you leave your own environment entirely and are never observed inside it.
Which matters depends on where you are exposed. A visitor in a large hotel is anonymous already and has nothing to lose from an arrival. A man who lives in a small apartment block where the neighbours know his car has everything to lose from an arrival and nothing to lose from a drive across town.
4. Control of the setting
At an outcall you keep your own room, your own temperature, your own drinks, your own music. Some people care about that a great deal. At an incall the setting is prepared for you and you accept it as it is, which suits anyone who would rather not think about logistics at all.
5. Logistics you may have forgotten
Parking is the usual one. If you drive, an incall means finding a space in a district you may not know. If you have been drinking, an incall means a taxi both ways, and the return leg at three in the morning is worth pricing before you commit.

Book an outcall. You are already paying for a private room in a building where nobody knows you and staff see strangers all day. Travelling to an incall would mean leaving comfort you have already bought. Check first that your hotel is relaxed about guests, which is the only thing that ever complicates this case.
You live in Athens
Incall is normally the better answer, and often the only workable one. Home is where you are most recognisable and least able to explain a visitor. An hour spent travelling somewhere neutral removes that problem completely.
You are sharing a room, or travelling with others
Incall, without much hesitation. A shared room is not a private venue, and the awkwardness of a colleague returning early is not worth the saving.
You want the evening to be unhurried
Outcall, and book longer than you think. Once you have removed the two journeys from the evening you get more out of the same number of hours, which is exactly what people booking three hours or more are usually paying for.
Mixing the two
The formats are not a lifelong allegiance. Regular clients often use both: incall on a weekday when the point is convenience and cost, outcall at a hotel when the evening is the occasion. Tell us what you want on the night and we will quote for that night.
What does not change either way
Rates per hour start from the same figure. Verification of every companion is identical. Payment is in cash at the start, in a plain envelope, in either format. Discretion is not a feature of one option and an extra on the other. The only variables are direction of travel, the supplement attached to it, and who owns the room.

Which one is cheaper in Athens?
Incall, once you are outside the central districts, because there is no travel supplement. In the very centre the two can come out level.
Can I switch after I have booked?
Usually yes if you tell us early. Once a companion has set off for an outcall the journey has been committed and switching to an incall the same evening may not be possible.
Which is faster if I want to book now?
Incall, in most cases. You are removing an unpredictable car journey and replacing it with one you control.
Do I get the incall address when I book?
You get the district when you book and the exact address once the booking is confirmed and the time is close. That sequence is standard and is not a reflection on you.
Does every companion offer both?
No. Some work outcall only. If you have someone particular in mind, ask before you settle on a format, because the person may decide the format rather than the other way round.
Is an outcall to a private flat treated as an outcall?
Yes. Any address that is yours rather than ours is an outcall, whether it is a hotel, a rented apartment or a house. Give us the building, floor, entry code and parking situation.
Which is more discreet?
Neither in the abstract. Ask instead where you are more likely to be recognised, at your own door or on a street across town, and choose the opposite one.
